The Stamford-based firm, which manages over $57 billion in client assets, has maintained its position among the industry’s elite for two years running. The Barron’s ranking evaluates independent advisors based on a blend of quantitative performance metrics, such as revenue and asset growth, alongside qualitative factors like technology investment, staff diversity, and long-term succession planning.

CEO Jim Gold attributed the firm’s endurance in a tightening market to its specific ownership model. By focusing on advisor equity and a collaborative platform, Steward Partners has managed to scale while competing against firms significantly larger in size. Beyond the Barron's ranking, the firm has recently garnered industry recognition from InvestmentNews and Forbes, further cementing its trajectory in the wealth management sector since its 2013 launch.
