Apple to Open 600-Capacity Music Venue at Battersea Power Station
Beneath the glass and brick of Apple’s European headquarters in London, a new sonic landmark is taking shape. On September 28th, the tech giant will debut Apple Music Hall, a 600-capacity space designed to bridge the gap between high-fidelity recording sessions and intimate live performances within the iconic Battersea Power Station.
The venue aims to host a versatile rotation of concerts and video broadcasts. While the company has kept the lineup for the opening night under wraps, the facility represents a strategic expansion of its hardware and software ecosystem into physical performance spaces. Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and International Content, positioned the move as a natural progression of the brand’s history, tracing a line from the original iPod and iTunes Music Festival to the current streaming platform. By integrating a dedicated performance hall directly into its corporate hub, Apple is attempting to secure a tangible stake in the live music industry, offering artists a controlled environment for production and fan engagement.
