i-80 Gold reports strong drill results at Nevada Mineral Point project

Drilling at i-80 Gold Corp.’s Mineral Point project in Nevada has delivered significant gold and silver intercepts, reinforcing the site's potential as a future production hub. The company confirmed that all 19 exploratory step-out holes successfully encountered mineralization, suggesting the deposit extends further than previously mapped.

The campaign at the Ruby Hill property, situated along the Battle Mountain-Eureka gold trend, highlights the project's scale. Notable results include hole iMP26-07, which returned 1.33 g/t gold and 39.2 g/t silver over 225.6 meters, and hole iMP26-23, showing 1.70 g/t gold and 61.5 g/t silver over 170.7 meters. These findings indicate that the mineralized footprint could expand by approximately one kilometer along strike.

Tyler Hill, VP of Geology, noted that the deep oxidation observed matches current geological models. The company is now utilizing seven drill rigs to complete a 130,000-meter program by early 2027. This data will feed into a pre-feasibility study slated for mid-2027, aimed at optimizing the asset, which is already considered the largest undeveloped gold-silver resource in the firm’s portfolio.
