NYC Bakery Run returns with ten stops and a seat at Eleven Madison Park

Organized by the food guide Tipster, the route spans ten distinct stops including La Cabra, Librae Bakery, and the debut of Altbau Bakery, the new project from Tartine cofounder Chad Robertson. Unlike a standard race, the event prioritizes community and culinary exploration over speed. Participants move in three pace groups, stopping to sample everything from cardamom buns to layer cakes before being escorted into the dining room of the three-Michelin-star Eleven Madison Park for a formal pastry experience.

Dominique Roy, Chef de Cuisine at Eleven Madison Park, views the collaboration as a rare chance to showcase the pastry team’s artistry outside the constraints of a traditional tasting menu. For Tipster founder Simon Evers, the event reflects a shift in how modern diners engage with food, favoring singular, experiential moments over standard reservations. Registration for the free lottery is open until October 14, with winners notified the following day.
