Zorro Productions Overhauls Century-Old Brand Archive
Sacramento-based Zorro Productions has launched a redesigned digital platform to consolidate over a century of franchise history. Developed by the agency Digital Silk, the site replaces a fragmented archive with a structured portfolio, aiming to streamline how licensees, media partners, and fans navigate the character's extensive catalog of film, television, and comics.

The previous online presence for the masked vigilante suffered from disconnected navigation and a lack of dedicated pages for major productions. Digital Silk addressed these gaps by mapping specific user journeys for three distinct audiences: potential licensees, press members, and franchise enthusiasts. This research informed a new architecture divided into six core areas, including a dedicated newsroom and a categorized media library.
To transform the back catalog into a functional business tool, the team created over 20 individual project pages. Prospective partners now have a direct pathway for licensing inquiries, while the broader public can browse the franchise by format. The design leans into a cinematic aesthetic, utilizing animated reveals and mobile-optimized video assets to maintain the brand’s atmosphere across devices. According to Ana Margarida Meira, VP at Digital Silk, the goal was to convert a scattered collection of historical content into a cohesive, professional interface that serves both as a public-facing portfolio and a primary hub for new licensing agreements.
