Greenhouse Wins Top HR Product Award for Fraud-Detection Technology
Greenhouse has been named a 2026 Top HR Product by HR Executive for its Real Talent platform, a verification tool designed to combat hiring fraud. The system, which addresses a growing market crisis of fake applicants and misleading job postings, was selected as one of only 14 winning technologies this year.
The platform addresses a significant trust gap in modern recruiting. Internal data shows that 91% of recruiters have encountered candidates who misrepresented their backgrounds, while 69% of job seekers report falling victim to fake job listings. Since its February 2026 launch, Real Talent has processed over 10.2 million fraud checks, flagging one in four candidates for review and outright failing one in 33.
By integrating AI-powered applicant matching with identity verification, the software provides recruiters with structured risk signals based on phone, email, and IP data. Meredith Johnson, Chief Product Officer at Greenhouse, noted that the tool is designed to restore trust by anchoring recruitment in verifiable data rather than intuition. The company will showcase the platform, along with its Voice AI solutions, at the HR Tech 2026 conference in Las Vegas this October. The recognition highlights a shift toward explainable AI in human resources, where the technology serves to augment, rather than replace, human judgment in hiring decisions.
