DeNexus Joins ISA Global Cybersecurity Alliance to Standardize OT Risk

The alliance, managed by the International Society of Automation, serves as a collaborative forum for manufacturers and security experts to refine OT cybersecurity practices. By embedding the ISA/IEC 62443 series into its business model, DeNexus aims to translate complex security control states into financial metrics that boards and insurers can actively govern. This partnership follows a series of industry presentations by DeNexus CEO Jose M. Seara, who emphasized the necessity of a common language for assessing industrial threats.

Michelle Ritterskamp, ISAGCA program coordinator, highlighted that the firm’s technical experience adds depth to the alliance’s existing efforts. For DeNexus, the membership provides a direct channel to collaborate with global leaders like Honeywell, Schneider Electric, and Chevron. Seara noted that standards provide the foundation required to move cyber risk from an invisible operational burden to a quantifiable asset that can be mitigated and transferred through the insurance market.
