ScamAdviser Tackles AI Agent Exploits at Global Anti-Scam Summit
Autonomous AI agents are the new frontier for digital fraud, shifting from human-targeted social engineering to logic-based manipulation. At the 2026 Global Anti-Scam Summit in San Francisco, industry leaders warned that static security rules are failing as scammers pivot to hijacking the decision-making processes of AI tools.
CEO Aaron Chiou led a panel alongside experts from Google and Adyen to dissect the risks inherent in automated commerce. As consumers delegate purchasing and deal-finding to AI, fraudsters are exploiting the probabilistic nature of these systems. To counter this, ScamAdviser launched AgentLooker.ai, a real-time security layer designed to verify links and storefronts before an agent executes a transaction.
The summit also recognized ScamAdviser’s Watchmen platform with the Scam Fighter Award. By utilizing LLM-based semantic analysis, the tool monitors communication channels for brand impersonation. Deployment data shows the system has helped reduce investment scam losses by 38% and accelerated the detection-to-takedown cycle from weeks to under eight hours, establishing a new standard for public-private fraud defense.
