Embry-Riddle Secures Eleven Top-Ten Spots in 2027 U.S. News Rankings

The 2027 U.S. News Best Colleges list highlights the university's influence in specialized technical education. Both the Daytona Beach and Prescott campuses secured the No. 2 overall rank in their respective Southern and Western regions. The Prescott campus maintained a dominant position in military-focused education, earning the No. 1 spot for Best for Veterans in the West for the sixth consecutive year.

Academic programs remain a primary driver of these accolades. The undergraduate Aerospace Engineering program at the Prescott campus claimed the top national ranking for schools without a doctoral option, while the Daytona Beach campus placed No. 6 nationally among programs offering a doctoral track. Beyond core engineering, the Daytona Beach campus was recognized as the No. 1 private college in the South and earned a No. 3 ranking for innovation.

University leadership attributes these outcomes to a focus on career readiness. President P. Barry Butler noted that the curriculum targets high-demand sectors, including space exploration, cybersecurity, and aviation. Dr. Jim Gregory, dean of the College of Engineering, pointed to the intersection of faculty expertise and student-led research as the foundation for these results. The institution currently serves over 31,000 students through its residential, online, and global campus network.
