Green Fuel Forward Scales Asian Aviation Decarbonization Efforts
Green Fuel Forward, an initiative launched to drive sustainable aviation fuel adoption across Asia, is shifting its strategy from market awareness to active procurement. The alliance has expanded its leadership committee and welcomed new corporate members, including Amazon and Bain & Company, to accelerate regional decarbonization through collective demand.

The initiative’s transition marks a pivotal move toward facilitating actual transactions for sustainable aviation fuel and its associated certificates. By integrating the Center for Green Market Activation and the Singapore Sustainable Aviation Fuel Company into its steering committee, the group aims to combine investment expertise with procurement infrastructure. This collaboration is designed to translate corporate interest into actionable market demand, addressing the supply constraints and high costs currently hindering the adoption of greener flight alternatives.
As the World Economic Forum hands over secretariat functions to the steering committee, the alliance is focusing on establishing a trusted framework for corporate engagement. With a total membership now reaching 48, the platform offers a pathway for companies to address Scope 3 emissions. Temasek Trust has joined the effort as both a member and a catalytic funder, providing resources to offset procurement costs for first-time buyers. These efforts seek to provide the clear, large-scale demand signals necessary to incentivize new regional production and lower barriers for aviation decarbonization.
