United Parks & Resorts Shuffles Leadership Suite
United Parks & Resorts has elevated Kyle Miller to President and appointed Scott Maupin as the new Chief Parks Operating Officer, effective September 22, 2026. These appointments follow the departure of Chief Commercial Officer Christopher Finazzo, marking a significant transition for the Orlando-based theme park operator.
Miller steps into the presidency after serving as the company’s Chief Parks Operations Officer. A veteran of the organization since 1995, he previously managed SeaWorld Orlando, Discovery Cove, and Aquatica Orlando. CEO Marc Swanson noted that Miller’s three-decade tenure provides him with the institutional knowledge necessary to drive the firm’s current growth strategy and operational priorities.
Scott Maupin succeeds Miller as Chief Parks Operating Officer, transitioning from his previous role as Co-Chief Parks Operating Officer. Maupin, who joined the company in May 2026, brings extensive industry experience from his prior leadership positions at Merlin Entertainments, Great Wolf Resorts, and Six Flags. The company confirmed that Christopher Finazzo is leaving his post as Chief Commercial Officer to pursue other opportunities.
