Silvercorp Postpones Annual Meeting to Expand Governance Reforms
Silvercorp Metals has pushed its annual general and special meeting to October 2, 2026, granting shareholders extra time to review expanded amendments to the company’s articles. The board is seeking to strengthen corporate governance and align its internal framework with potential listing requirements on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The meeting, originally set for September 25, will now take place at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time. With the date shift, the proxy voting deadline is extended to September 30 at 10:00 a.m. Shareholders who have already submitted their votes do not need to take action, though they remain eligible to change their instructions before the new deadline.
The proposed updates to the company's articles go beyond the initial Hong Kong listing requirements. Key changes include raising the shareholder quorum from 5% to 25%, establishing a director quorum of at least 50%, and removing provisions for alternate directors. Furthermore, the company is refining its advance notice process for director nominations to ensure that nomination deadlines remain flexible if a meeting is postponed or adjourned. Silvercorp has engaged Laurel Hill Advisory Group to assist with the solicitation process, noting that all associated costs will be covered by the company.
