Epson Targets Small Businesses with Compact Sublimation Printer
At the PRINTING United Expo in Las Vegas, Epson unveiled the SureColor F370, a compact dye-sublimation printer aimed at makers and small-scale customization shops. Alongside the hardware, the company introduced a new liquid primer designed to allow sublimation printing on cotton, effectively breaking the technology's traditional reliance on polyester fabrics.
The SureColor F370 supports printing up to 13" x 19", featuring an auto-switching 150-sheet cassette and a secondary 15-sheet tray for varied media handling. Epson designed the unit to fit into tight studio spaces, prioritizing ease of use through a guided touchscreen setup and multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi Direct and mobile printing. According to Tim Check, product manager at Epson America, the goal is to lower the barrier for professional-grade personalization.
The introduction of the Sublimation Primer for Cotton marks a significant shift for the product line, enabling businesses to decorate natural fibers without investing in secondary printing technologies. Priced at $999 for the printer and $149.95 for the primer solution, both products are scheduled for release in November 2026. The new ecosystem targets a diverse range of applications, spanning apparel, signage, and home décor.
