BioWound Solutions Brings Keramatrix to Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange

Keramatrix, an FDA 510(k) cleared wound dressing, utilizes a keratin-based structure to support the body’s natural healing processes. The device is indicated for various wounds, including Stage 4 pressure injuries, and is designed to stimulate keratinocytes to accelerate wound closure. By offering a versatile treatment option, the product aims to help clinicians streamline care protocols for difficult-to-heal conditions.

The Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange offers a platform for suppliers to demonstrate their technologies to supply chain and clinical leaders. According to Kelly Flaharty, associate vice president of contract operations at Vizient, the program provides a venue for products that influence the healthcare landscape and enhance organizational business models. Since 2003, Vizient has evaluated over 1,700 submissions through this program.
