Autel U.S. Hosts Advanced HVAC Diagnostic Training in New York
As modern thermal management systems move beyond simple cabin climate control to regulate critical battery and power electronics, automotive technicians face a diagnostic gap. On October 30, Autel U.S. will host an intensive training session in Port Washington, New York, to address this shift through the lens of their MaxiHVAC AC909 system.
The one-day program, held at the Hilton Garden Inn Roslyn, targets both industry professionals and educators. The curriculum focuses on the MaxiHVAC AC909, a diagnostic tool designed to move service protocols away from traditional high- and low-side pressure readings toward a multi-layered analysis. By integrating live vehicle data with humidity, airflow, and sensor measurements, the system aims to provide a comprehensive view of how thermal components function in internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles.
Founder Gary DeLuca, who led the development of the AC909, will co-lead the event alongside industry expert Gary Machiros. The sessions cover heat-pump systems, EV thermal management, and advanced leak-detection techniques. Scott Norman, Automotive Technology Program Coordinator at Pittsburg State University, characterized the jump in diagnostic capability as a transition from legacy software to modern computing, citing the tool's ability to streamline complex workflows. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with registration priced at $249.
