Fuse Oncology Previews S!GNAL Integration for ASTRO 2026
Radiation oncology teams often struggle with fragmented software, leaving billing errors to fester for weeks. At the upcoming ASTRO 2026 meeting in Boston, Fuse Oncology will demonstrate a new integration between its S!GNAL charge capture platform and GE HealthCare’s Intelligent Radiation Therapy (iRT) software to bridge that gap.
The proposed workflow aims to automate the connection between clinical coordination and revenue cycle management. By launching S!GNAL directly from the iRT interface, clinicians can maintain patient context without manual handoffs. This approach addresses a common industry pain point where missing IGRT images or physics consults are discovered only during retrospective audits, long after the clinical context has faded.
S!GNAL identifies discrepancies within 24 hours of service using rule logic and natural language processing. In a recent deployment across 15 sites, the system uncovered over $1.09 million in missed charges while reducing billing lag by more than 30 days. James Bauler, CEO of Fuse Oncology, notes that the solution shifts detection to the point of care, preventing staff from wasting time on retroactive administrative corrections. The integration is currently under development, with a live demonstration scheduled for September 27–29 at booth 2533.
