Rula and Taskrabbit Partner to Subsidize Household Chores for Therapy Seekers

Nearly half of adults in need of mental health support cite a lack of time as the primary barrier to seeking care. To bridge this gap, behavioral healthcare provider Rula is partnering with Taskrabbit to offer new patients a $50 credit for household tasks, effectively trading chores for therapy sessions.

Running from September 29 through World Mental Health Day on October 10, the "T(ask) for Help" initiative aims to clear the logistical clutter that often prevents individuals from prioritizing their well-being. By incentivizing the first appointment, Rula seeks to neutralize the common internal dialogue that delays care until one's to-do list is finished. Eligible new patients who book a session via the dedicated Rula portal will receive the credit to apply toward home services like furniture assembly or mounting, managed by Taskrabbit.

Josh Bruno, CEO and founder of Rula, noted that the partnership is designed to carve out the space required to take the initial step toward treatment. Tamara Rosenthal, SVP of marketing at Taskrabbit, added that completing even a small, lingering task can provide the mental energy necessary for individuals to focus on their own health. The campaign, developed alongside agency Mischief @ No Fixed Address, builds upon Rula's existing network of 22,000 providers, which currently supports over 200 million lives across the United States.
