Bravo Capital Leads HUD Lenders With Perfect 2025 Closing Rate

Every firm commitment Bravo Capital secured from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2025 reached the closing table, marking a 100% success rate. While industry giants saw roughly one in ten deals fall through, the New York-based lender converted all nine of its commitments into $201 million in funded projects.

The performance ranking, derived from an analysis of HUD’s own loan-level records by Janover, highlights a stark contrast between high-volume lenders and those prioritizing execution. While the three largest firms in the sector posted conversion rates between 89% and 92%, Bravo Capital stood out as one of only three lenders to maintain a perfect record. The firm’s 2025 portfolio was evenly distributed, comprising $110.3 million across five multifamily projects and $90.7 million across four healthcare facilities.

Aaron Krawitz, CEO and founder of Bravo Capital, attributes this reliability to rigorous upfront screening and hands-on management through the endorsement phase. The firm bolsters this certainty of execution through its proprietary Bridge-to-HUD platform, which allows the company to fund transactions on its own balance sheet before transitioning them into permanent HUD loans. Recent additions to their toolkit, such as the HUD Express Lane Qualifier, further streamline the eligibility process for healthcare property owners seeking expedited Section 232/223(f) financing.
