MPM Products Secures Recertification Under Stricter B Corp Mandates

Manchester-based MPM Products has joined an exclusive cohort of 20 U.K. companies to achieve B Corp recertification under B Lab’s updated, more rigorous criteria. The pet food manufacturer, known for brands like Applaws and Reveal, met elevated performance thresholds across climate action, human rights, and supply chain transparency.

The renewal marks the third time the company has earned the designation since 2021. B Lab’s revised framework now requires mandatory performance benchmarks across seven core impact areas, backed by independent third-party verification. For MPM, this evolution serves as a catalyst for ongoing ESG integration rather than a final milestone.

Joy Stevenson, the company’s ESG Impact Manager, noted that the certification provides a structured roadmap for future initiatives, including human rights due diligence and a defined pathway to Net Zero emissions. The organization continues to leverage its 2025 acquisition by Partners Group to fund these sustainability goals, which include maintaining 92% recyclable packaging and strict ingredient traceability. With over 428 million pet meals sold globally in 2025, the firm manages a supply chain where manufacturing partners must adhere to a comprehensive code of conduct enforced through regular site audits.
