Beta Bionics Faces Securities Lawsuit Over iLet Insulin Pump Failures

Investors who lost over $100,000 in Beta Bionics stock have until November 3, 2026, to file as lead plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit. The litigation centers on allegations that the company concealed dangerous malfunctions in its iLet Bionic Pancreas system, which reportedly triggered life-threatening hypoglycemic events for users.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, covers individuals who purchased Beta Bionics common stock between July 30, 2025, and February 24, 2026. Plaintiffs allege that the company’s automated dosing algorithm frequently delivered excessive insulin, leading to hundreds of hospitalizations that were never properly disclosed to shareholders.

According to the complaint, Beta Bionics ignored thousands of customer complaints and failed to report them to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. While the company characterized an earlier FDA Form 483 as a minor regulatory dispute, the lawsuit claims the document actually identified over 18,000 unreported complaints. The failure to address these issues subsequently resulted in an FDA warning letter regarding the company's quality management and medical device reporting protocols. Law firm Kahn Swick & Foti is currently evaluating claims for affected investors under the case Holtzman v. Beta Bionics, Inc.
