Axia Women’s Health Integrates Mental Health Services via FamilyWell
Women navigating the complexities of fertility, pregnancy, and menopause will soon have direct access to specialized mental health support through their existing OB/GYN providers. Axia Women’s Health announced a partnership with FamilyWell Health to embed virtual behavioral care directly into its clinical workflow across four states starting this fall.

The initiative aims to move beyond traditional referral systems, which often leave patients to navigate the mental health landscape alone. Instead, Axia clinicians will connect patients directly to a virtual network of care coordinators, therapists, and psychiatric providers managed by FamilyWell. This collaborative model keeps the OB/GYN informed throughout the treatment process, ensuring that mental health is treated as a continuous component of physical care rather than a siloed specialty.
Dr. Jessica Gaulton founded FamilyWell after personally experiencing the gaps in postpartum support. The company has since expanded its scope to address the emotional hurdles associated with various life transitions, including perimenopause and fertility challenges. The efficacy of this integrated approach is backed by research published in the Maternal and Child Health Journal in April 2026, which linked the program to measurable improvements in anxiety and depression symptoms. This service will be available to patients across Axia’s network in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Indiana, and Kentucky.
