Rencore Unifies Enterprise AI Governance Beyond Microsoft 365

Munich-based software provider Rencore has expanded its governance platform to manage multiple generative AI assistants from a single control plane. The update allows IT and security teams to monitor Claude Enterprise and ChatGPT alongside Microsoft 365, using Microsoft Entra ID as the central anchor for identity and policy enforcement.

Modern enterprises rarely rely on a single generative AI vendor. Gartner reports that two-thirds of organizations deploy at least two assistants alongside Microsoft 365 Copilot, creating a fragmented management landscape where each tool operates within its own silo. This sprawl complicates security, as audit logs for these services are often purged within 30 days, leaving IT teams without evidence for incident reviews. Rencore aims to bridge this gap by mapping disparate AI accounts to individual users through existing Entra ID credentials.

By connecting via provider APIs, such as Anthropic’s Compliance API, the platform builds a unified inventory of AI assets, projects, and connectors. Administrators can now track token consumption, identify orphaned accounts, and detect publicly shared artifacts across different services. Rencore emphasizes that its software focuses on operational governance rather than runtime guardrails, meaning it processes metadata without accessing message bodies or file content. This approach provides the visibility necessary to meet regulatory requirements under the EU AI Act, GDPR, and DORA. Claude Enterprise support is currently available in preview, with ChatGPT Enterprise integration scheduled to follow later in October 2026.
