WuXi AppTec Secures EcoVadis Gold Medal for Sustainability
Ranking within the top 5% of companies globally, WuXi AppTec has been awarded an EcoVadis Gold medal for the third year in a row. The recognition highlights the pharmaceutical CRDMO’s ongoing efforts to embed environmental, ethical, and labor standards across its international supply chain operations.
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates firms against 21 distinct sustainability criteria, focusing on environmental impact, human rights, business ethics, and procurement practices. By maintaining this status, WuXi AppTec reinforces its standing among global industry leaders. Dr. Steve Yang, Co-CEO and Chairman of the company's Sustainability Committee, stated that the award validates the firm’s progress in implementing responsible practices throughout its value chain.
Beyond the EcoVadis distinction, the firm holds an AAA rating from MSCI and maintains an A List ranking from CDP for its work in climate change and water security. The company’s commitment to environmental targets is further evidenced by the Science Based Targets initiative’s validation of its greenhouse gas reduction goals. As a participant in the United Nations Global Compact, WuXi AppTec continues to align its operations with international standards, supporting partners across more than 30 countries in the development of new medical treatments.
