The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlets to Close After Two Decades

After 21 years of offering luxury furniture at steep discounts, The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlets announced a permanent closure. Starting Thursday, October 8, the chain will launch a massive going-out-of-business sale across all locations, partnering with SB360 Capital Partners to liquidate $100 million in retail-value inventory.

Since its inception in 2005, the retailer built a niche by sourcing closeouts, overstocks, and designer samples, consistently undercutting traditional retail pricing by 40% to 80%. Founder E.J. Strelitz, a third-generation furniture industry veteran, cited a desire to retire and pursue new personal chapters as the primary driver behind the decision to shutter the company’s eight locations across Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Texas, and Virginia.

The final liquidation event encompasses everything from upholstery and case goods to fine handmade rugs and mattresses. Aaron Miller, President of SB360 Capital Partners, noted that the remaining inventory includes fresh, brand-name pieces aimed at the company’s core demographic of decorators and value-conscious shoppers. With the final sale underway, the brand is closing its doors on a long-standing retail philosophy that prioritized price transparency over showroom overhead.
