Sonoma County Airport Launches Secure Direct Transit to SFO
Starting November 17, travelers at Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport can bypass the chaos of San Francisco International by clearing TSA security locally. A new Landline motorcoach service transports passengers directly to the secure side of SFO, effectively turning the regional hub into an extension of the major international terminal.

Passengers flying United, Alaska, Hawaiian, American, or JetBlue can now check their luggage and undergo security screening at STS before boarding a premium coach. These vehicles, equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi and extra-legroom seating, drive directly onto the SFO airfield, allowing travelers to walk straight to their departure gates without repeating security protocols. Upon arrival at SFO, baggage is automatically transferred to the connecting flight.
Service debuts with eight daily round trips, departing STS between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. One-way fares are set at $55, with children aged 15 and under traveling for free. For return journeys, the service is available to passengers arriving at SFO on any airline, with coaches departing from the curb outside every terminal. Landline CEO David Sunde noted the service aims to bridge the gap between regional convenience and SFO’s global flight network, with plans to integrate additional airline partners in the coming months.
