The world's largest derivatives marketplace successfully completed initial performance tests for its CME Globex platform, proving the viability of cloud-based infrastructure for high-speed trading. By leveraging a specialized Google Cloud platform, the firm aims to deliver ultra-low latency solutions to its clients ahead of the original schedule.

Chairman and CEO Terry Duffy noted that the accelerated development of the Aurora facility allows the company to bypass the planned interim move to Dallas for livestock markets. Instead, these operations will transition directly to the Aurora region in late 2027. Clients can expect to access both Google Cloud-managed services and dedicated co-location capabilities at the new site by that time, marking a significant step in the company's long-term digital evolution.
