Rare Game Boy Title Avenging Spirit Joins Nintendo Switch Online
Collectors who once shelled out over $150 for a simple instruction manual can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Jaleco’s elusive platformer Avenging Spirit has officially joined the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy library, ending years of high-stakes bidding for fans of the handheld console's rarest physical releases.
The arrival of this title marks a significant addition for retro enthusiasts, as the game has long been a centerpiece of the secondary market due to its scarcity. Joining it in this latest update are two other classic titles: the Shigeru Miyamoto-produced puzzle game Mole Mania and the arcade-style experience Pinball: Revenge of the ‘Gator. By bringing these titles to a digital subscription service, Nintendo continues to expand its preservation efforts, making high-value physical artifacts accessible to a modern audience without the premium price tag.
