A strategic collaboration between Flash Metals USA and Traxys North America aims to secure American critical-metals supply chains by integrating advanced processing technology with global commercial reach. Metallium Limited’s subsidiary, Flash Metals USA, intends to utilize its proprietary Flash Joule Heating (FJH) platform to extract value from complex or stranded feedstocks. By pairing this technology with the commercial expertise of Traxys—a conglomerate managing over $10 billion in annual revenue—the companies seek to establish viable domestic supply routes. This initiative addresses the logistical hurdles of linking raw material extraction with downstream industrial manufacturing.

Michael Walshe, CEO of Metallium, emphasized that the partnership extends beyond simple sales agreements. The collaboration aims to synchronize feedstock supply, product offtake, and project financing to scale domestic operations effectively. Traxys brings significant weight to the effort, having been selected as a supplier for Project Vault, the U.S. government-supported strategic reserve program. The immediate roadmap involves identifying priority materials and assessing the economic feasibility of processing these resources at Metallium’s Gator Point facility in Anahuac, Texas.
