Snapseed Gains LUT Import Support in Version 4.2
Photographers can now bring custom color grading presets directly into Google’s photo editing suite. The 4.2 update for Snapseed, rolling out today across both iOS and Android, introduces native LUT imports alongside a significant expansion of the application’s core color correction and blur toolsets.
Beyond the headline addition of LUT support, the update streamlines the workflow for sharing custom Looks. Android users receive the most substantial functional boost, gaining full multi-wheel color grading capabilities that bring the mobile experience closer to professional desktop software. The release also includes refined motion blur and lens blur effects, addressing long-standing requests for more nuanced depth-of-field control. These adjustments signal a renewed commitment from Google to maintain the app as a primary tool for mobile creative professionals.
