The company’s flagship CaRi-Heart technology utilizes AI to detect coronary inflammation on standard cardiac CT scans. By visualizing this previously invisible driver of disease, the system provides clinicians with a 10-year risk assessment for cardiovascular death, shifting the focus from reactive treatment to proactive, personalized intervention. CEO Steve Deitsch described the appointment as a significant milestone in the firm's mission to bridge the gap between early detection and effective management.

As a member of the 2026 cohort, Caristo will collaborate with global leaders across sectors ranging from space exploration to the bioeconomy to address urgent systemic challenges. Verena Kuhn, Head of Innovator Communities at the World Economic Forum, noted that the organization seeks such impactful innovation to tackle critical health disparities. While the technology is already in use across Europe, the UK, and Australia, it remains under review by the FDA for the United States market.
