Jeep Revives Trailhawk and Overland for 2027 Grand Cherokee Lineup
Jeep is expanding its 2027 Grand Cherokee portfolio by reintroducing the rugged Trailhawk and the premium-focused Overland trims. Both models aim to balance the brand’s signature 4x4 heritage with updated powertrain technology and refined interior appointments, targeting a broad spectrum of adventure-ready SUV buyers.
The 2027 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk pivots to the new 2.0-liter Hurricane 4 Turbo engine, delivering 324 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain features Turbulent Jet Ignition technology and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission to improve low-speed crawling. The vehicle boasts a best-in-class 11.4 inches of ground clearance, supported by a Quadra-Trac II 4x4 system, a rear electronic limited-slip differential, and 30.5-inch all-terrain tires. Designed for extreme conditions, the exterior includes signature red tow hooks and a glare-resistant hood decal, while the cabin is outfitted with Nappa leather and a 12.3-inch infotainment interface.
Positioned as the sophisticated counterpart, the 2027 Grand Cherokee Overland emphasizes luxury without abandoning off-road utility. It distinguishes itself with an aggressive front fascia, 21-inch wheels, and Silver Silk exterior accents. Inside, the cabin features embossed Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seating, and specialized An-Teak Satin Chrome trim. Despite its focus on refinement, the Overland retains the Quadra-Trac II system, Quadra-Lift air suspension, and a 360-degree surround-view camera. Both models are scheduled to arrive at dealerships later this year, with production housed at the Stellantis Detroit Assembly Complex - Mack.
