Since launching in 1994, the El Jarudo plant has evolved into a cornerstone of Cooper Standard’s fluid handling systems division. The facility, which produces stainless steel fuel rails, cooling hoses, and air lines, recently secured the company’s internal Fluid Handling Plant of the Year title for 2025. It has also maintained the Diamond Plant designation for three consecutive years, a testament to its focus on Six Sigma methodologies and sustained productivity gains.

Chris Couch, president of fluid handling systems, credited the site’s performance to a culture rooted in safety and continuous improvement. The plant now enters the final phase of the IndustryWeek competition, where it must provide detailed documentation of its achievements ahead of the final winner announcement scheduled for later this year. This nomination follows the success of the company’s Aguascalientes site, which previously earned the award in 2023.
