Dr. Phil to Host Docuseries on Greenland Energy Arctic Drilling
Dr. Phil McGraw is heading to the Arctic to film a six-part docuseries chronicling the Jameson Land Basin oil exploration project. The production, a partnership between Greenland Energy Company and Envoy Media Co., aims to document the logistical challenges and strategic ambitions of the first modern onshore drilling campaign in Greenland.

The series, slated for a late summer 2026 premiere, will be distributed across Envoy TV’s linear and digital platforms. The project is designed to showcase the technical complexity of the mission, which includes collaboration with contractors such as Halliburton, Stampede Drilling, and IPT Well Solutions. Producers intend to pair high-end cinematography with a narrative focus on the team’s efforts to navigate the region's extreme isolation and environmental landscape.
Envoy TV expects the content to reach over 220 million households via a distribution network that includes cable providers like Spectrum TV and FAST streaming services such as Samsung TV Plus. Ahead of the premiere, the network plans to release short-form social media segments to build momentum for what executives describe as a modern-day treasure hunt. Greenland Energy CEO Robert Price and Chairman Larry Swets frame the initiative as a significant step toward Arctic energy security, emphasizing that the series will document both the industrial scope of the venture and its impact on the local Greenlandic context.
