MoClaw Shifts AI Agents from Chatbots to Persistent Cloud Workers
San Francisco startup MoClaw is now processing thousands of autonomous agent tasks daily, moving beyond reactive AI assistants toward persistent, unattended cloud computing. By providing each user with a dedicated, always-on virtual environment, the platform enables agents to handle browser-based workflows, file management, and recurring research without human oversight.

Unlike standard AI tools that wait for a prompt, MoClaw functions as a headless computer in the cloud. Each agent operates within a sandboxed runtime, retaining long-term memory and a library of over 50 specialized skills. This architecture allows users to offload repetitive chores—such as monitoring competitor pricing or scraping public filings—to a system that executes tasks on a schedule regardless of whether the user’s local laptop is active.
Founder Richard argues that the industry has been stuck in a cycle of one-off demonstrations. By contrast, MoClaw treats agents like server processes that build upon their own history. The service integrates with Slack and Telegram, allowing agents to deliver compiled reports directly to a user’s preferred interface. The company employs a transparent pricing model, charging a $20 monthly base fee while allowing customers to connect their own API keys from providers like OpenAI or Anthropic without added markup.
