Harris Teeter Launches Friday Fuel Rewards for Summer Travel
Summer road trips just became more affordable for Harris Teeter shoppers, as the grocery chain pivots to a seasonal promotion offering four times the standard fuel points every Friday. The initiative aims to lower travel costs by converting routine grocery expenditures into significant discounts at the pump through August.
To participate in the program, customers must clip a digital coupon through the Harris Teeter website or mobile application and scan their VIC loyalty card during Friday checkouts. The promotion accelerates the standard earning rate, providing four points for every dollar spent on eligible items. These rewards remain compatible with existing store discounts, including buy-one-get-one offers and personalized savings.
Accumulated points are redeemable at Harris Teeter Fuel Centers as well as participating BP and Amoco stations. Every 100 points grants a discount of 10 cents per gallon, with a maximum redemption limit of $1.00 off per gallon for up to 35 gallons. According to Danna Robinson, director of corporate affairs and customer relations, the program is designed to help households manage rising travel expenses during the peak vacation season.
