El Rio Grande Unveils Revamped Dallas Storefront
At 8:00 AM on July 1, the El Rio Grande Latin Market at 3035 N Buckner Blvd will host a community celebration to mark the completion of a major interior renovation. The refresh aims to elevate the shopping experience while maintaining the authentic Latin American flavors that define the neighborhood staple.

The updated Buckner location features a redesigned floor plan and expanded product assortments across all primary departments. Beyond the structural improvements, the store is highlighting its signature offerings, including the La Palapa Juice Bar and an enhanced Carnicería section stocked with marinated meats. The Cocina El Rio kitchen continues to serve house-made staples such as carnitas and fresh salsas, while the expanded Panadería now produces bolillo and traditional pastries throughout the day.
To mark the reopening, the first 150 shoppers will receive complimentary grocery bags. The first 10 customers in attendance will be awarded $25 gift certificates. Lizette Gomez, Director of Marketing, described the project as a direct investment in the local families who rely on the market for culturally specific ingredients and fresh produce. The event will feature food demonstrations and product sampling throughout the morning to showcase the store’s modernized layout.
