Carla Hall and The Fresh Market Partner to Fund Alzheimer's Research

For Carla Hall, the fight against Alzheimer’s is personal. The celebrity chef is partnering with The Fresh Market throughout June to donate 10% of proceeds from her "With Love" meal kits to the Alzheimer’s Association, aiming to surpass last year’s fundraising total of $21,000 during Brain Awareness Month.

Hall’s commitment stems from her grandmother’s struggle with the disease, an experience that shifted her focus from culinary television to advocacy. The partnership features a curated selection of meals, including Smoky Harissa Salmon and Sunday Supper BBQ Chicken, available at all Fresh Market locations. Beyond the meal kit donations, shoppers can contribute by rounding up their grocery totals at checkout through June 30.

The initiative comes as the Alzheimer’s Association reports that more than 7 million Americans are currently living with the disease. In North Carolina alone, the impact is significant, with over 210,500 residents diagnosed and 338,000 individuals providing unpaid care. Christine John-Fuller, executive director for the Association’s North Carolina chapters, noted that these funds are critical for both expanding support services and accelerating the pace of global research.
