FL Technics Opens FAA-Certified MRO Hub in Punta Cana
The US Federal Aviation Administration has granted FL Technics a Part 145 Repair Station Certificate for its new maintenance facility in Punta Cana. This regulatory clearance allows the global provider to begin servicing aircraft for regional airlines and leasing companies, with JetBlue confirmed as the site's inaugural customer.

The 20,000-square-meter facility is now fully operational, focusing on base maintenance for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft families. This development follows a rigorous multi-phase review by the FAA, evaluating everything from specialized tooling and maintenance procedures to the technical competencies of the onsite personnel.
Zilvinas Lapinskas, CEO of FL Technics Group, described the certification as a pivotal milestone for the company’s expansion into the Americas. The project, a joint investment with Grupo Puntacana, also recently secured approval from the Dominican Republic's civil aviation authority, IDAC. Looking forward, the company intends to transition operations to a local workforce, supported by a mentorship program that integrates international expertise with community-based talent to sustain long-term operations.
