Follett Content Adds Screen-Free Tonies Bundles to Library Collections

Libraries can now purchase ready-to-circulate kits that pair Tonies audio figurines with corresponding print books. The new offering from Follett Content aims to bolster early literacy by merging interactive audio storytelling with physical reading materials, sparing librarians the time-consuming process of manual assembly and cataloging.

The bundles feature eight best-selling Tonies characters, including popular titles like The Cat in the Hat and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Each kit arrives in a durable circulation bag containing the figurine and one to three print books, with optional shelf-ready delivery. By including MARC records and processing services, Follett Content intends to simplify the integration of these screen-free tools into existing library workflows.

Britten Follett, CEO of Follett Content, noted that the initiative addresses a specific need for high-interest programming that supports independent learning. Mark McColgan, General Manager of tonies North America, added that the partnership bridges the gap for families seeking to combine the popular audio platform with physical books. The bundles are available for order immediately through the Titlewave platform, with future expansions planned based on library demand and feedback.
