Major European carrier adopts Mycom PrOptima for 5G network oversight
A top-tier European telecommunications provider has signed a multi-year agreement to deploy Mycom’s PrOptima performance management software. The deal aims to streamline network operations for a subscriber base exceeding 10 million users, specifically targeting the optimization of the carrier’s expanding 4G and 5G mobile infrastructure.
The PrOptima platform will serve as a centralized hub for monitoring the provider’s multi-vendor Radio Access Network. By hosting the application on Amazon Web Services, the carrier expects to unify data across its infrastructure. The rollout includes specialized site-analyzer solutions designed to maintain consistent service quality during the ongoing 5G transition.
Beyond basic monitoring, the integration incorporates Mycom’s AIpulse dashboard and the MycomEye mobile application. These tools are intended to provide real-time performance insights and automation, moving beyond legacy manual processes. Mycom CEO Charles Bligh noted that this investment focuses on scaling the provider’s network capacity while improving overall business efficiency for their mobile services.
