SPHERE AX and Blaize Partner to Drive Physical AI Manufacturing in Korea
South Korean vision AI specialist SPHERE AX and U.S. semiconductor firm Blaize have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding to jointly develop and commercialize AI-driven hardware. The agreement, formalized at the National Assembly, aims to bridge American chip architecture with Korean manufacturing to supply the global physical AI market.

The partnership focuses on integrating Blaize's proprietary Graph Streaming Processor technology with SPHERE AX's edge computing software. By combining these capabilities, the companies plan to build a localized product development and production system in Korea. This infrastructure is intended to serve sectors including smart factories, industrial safety, robotics, and mobility, effectively positioning the country as a pivotal hub for the global Edge AI supply chain.
SPHERE AX CEO Yunha Park described the alliance as a fundamental shift toward producing commercial-grade AI hardware within Korea, rather than relying solely on imported technology. Blaize CEO Dinakar Munagala noted that the collaboration leverages Korea’s rapid deployment capabilities to scale their platform from Asian markets to a broader international footprint. The companies intend to align their long-term development roadmap with government-led initiatives to strengthen the domestic semiconductor ecosystem.
