Riboli Family Wines Expands Spritz Lineup to Capture Daytime Drinking

As daytime social gatherings and brunch culture displace traditional late-night drinking habits, Los Angeles-based Riboli Family Wines is launching a new Hugo Spritz. The fourth-generation company is betting on the viral popularity of the elderflower-and-mint cocktail to anchor its latest expansion of the ready-to-serve Spritz Del Conte brand.

The new Hugo Spritz, clocking in at 13% ABV, utilizes Glera grapes sourced from Italy’s Veneto region. Designed for immediate consumption over ice, the drink aims to replicate the experience of a crafted aperitif without the need for a full bar setup. This release aligns with data from IWSR indicating that younger demographics, particularly Gen Z and Millennials, are increasingly prioritizing convenience and premium, sessionable options over high-proof spirits.

In addition to the Hugo Spritz, the company is diversifying its portfolio to accommodate the growing sober-curious movement with a Non-Alcoholic Negroni Spritz. Containing less than 0.5% ABV, this version replicates the profile of a traditional Negroni using juniper and botanical notes. Both products are currently rolling out to select retail markets at a price point of $14.95 for a 750ml bottle, signaling a broader strategy to capture the expanding market for inclusive, low-effort social beverages.
