Mattamy Homes Expands Footprint in Vail’s Rocking K Community
North America’s largest family-owned homebuilder, Mattamy Homes, has secured 38 finished homesites in Vail, Arizona. The acquisition of the Alamar neighborhood marks a strategic expansion within the 5,000-acre Rocking K development, with presales for the new single-family residences set to launch in July 2026.
The project encompasses 4.7 acres located approximately 25 miles from downtown Tucson. This addition complements Mattamy’s existing presence in the area, which already includes the Covena Pointe and Oasis neighborhoods. Prospective buyers will have access to four distinct floor plans starting at 1,735 square feet, alongside the company’s signature design studio services for interior personalization.
Anjela Salyer, president of Mattamy’s Tucson Division, noted that the move capitalizes on the sustained demand for housing in the Vail region. Residents of the new enclave will have access to extensive community infrastructure, including a 19-acre park with pickleball courts and proximity to the 137-mile Loop trail system. The location also provides immediate access to regional landmarks such as Saguaro National Park East, as well as major local employers including Raytheon and the University of Arizona Tech Park.
