David Weekley Homes Names Top 2026 National Preferred Partners
Thirteen manufacturers and fourteen field suppliers have earned the National Preferred Partner designation from Houston-based David Weekley Homes. The annual awards identify companies that maintained world-class quality and service standards throughout the previous year, based on internal evaluations from team members across the builder’s 19 active U.S. markets.
The selection process relies on a rigorous survey system where internal staff rate partners on a 1-to-5 scale across two primary metrics. This feedback loop provides suppliers with quarterly performance data and direct insights from the field, ensuring alignment with the builder’s design and service goals. Out of 117 companies evaluated this year, only 23% secured the award.
John Schiegg, Vice President of Purchasing and Supply Chain Services, emphasized that these partnerships remain critical to the builder’s brand promise. While veterans like Weyerhaeuser/Trus Joist continue to anchor the list with repeat appearances, the 2026 cycle also saw newcomers like Foundation Building Materials earn the distinction for their specific contributions to the homebuying experience. The full list of winning manufacturers includes industry leaders such as Cosentino, Eaton Corporation, GAF, James Hardie, Moen, Owens Corning, Schneider Electric, and Trane.
