United Roosevelt Savings Bank Expands Leadership Roster
Carteret-based United Roosevelt Savings Bank has overhauled its senior management team, appointing three industry veterans to spearhead retail operations, commercial lending, and internal risk oversight. The strategic hires arrive as the institution aims to scale its regional footprint and deepen its regulatory compliance framework.

Yolanda Jaco assumes the role of Vice President of Retail Operations, arriving with two decades of experience managing large-scale branch networks. Previously responsible for overseeing 26 branches and a staff of 165, Jaco is tasked with optimizing operational efficiency and driving sales growth across the bank’s Hudson County footprint.
Kavin Shah joins the firm as a Commercial Lending Officer. His background in credit administration and risk assessment will be instrumental as the bank looks to expand its real estate portfolio. Joining him is Christopher Walther, who takes on internal audit and risk management duties. Walther brings specialized experience navigating complex regulatory requirements, including those mandated by the Federal Reserve and the FDIC, with a specific focus on fraud detection and CECL implementation.
President and CEO Kenneth Totten emphasized that these appointments are intended to reinforce the bank’s commitment to client service and long-term institutional stability. The moves represent a broader effort to professionalize the bank's internal controls and service delivery models as it continues to compete in the New Jersey community banking sector.
