Metamenu Debuts Signal to Help DTC Brands Dominate AI Search

As AI chatbots increasingly replace traditional search engines for product discovery, direct-to-consumer brands are losing visibility into how they are recommended to shoppers. Metamenu launched its Signal platform at the CommerceNext Growth Show in New York, aiming to quantify and improve brand presence within AI-generated responses.

While 51% of B2B software buyers now rely on AI chatbots for initial research, marketing teams have struggled to track their performance in this shifting landscape. Signal addresses this by providing weekly reports on how brands appear across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. The tool tracks brand mentions, citations, and competitor share of voice, categorizing data by the specific stage of the buying journey.

Beyond simple tracking, the platform integrates with a managed content engine designed to act on these insights. This service identifies ranking opportunities and generates authoritative content, removing the need for brands to assemble internal teams to navigate AEO. One early client, a farm management startup, leveraged this approach to grow monthly organic clicks from roughly 1,100 to over 42,000 in nine months. Currently operating across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, Metamenu offers direct integrations with Shopify and Adobe Commerce to ensure product listings remain prominent in AI-driven buying guides.
