Darrin Schellin Named CEO of CDMO Specialist Mikart
With over two decades of executive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, Darrin T. Schellin has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Atlanta-based CDMO Mikart. He succeeds Michael Kallelis, who will transition to a seat on the company’s Board of Directors to maintain strategic continuity.

Schellin arrives at Mikart following his tenure as CEO of Pharma Tech Industries, where he spearheaded a transformation of the firm’s powder-based manufacturing platform. His career includes leadership roles at GBI Bio, Alliance Medical Products, and Siegfried, where he focused on scaling clinical-phase operations into integrated commercial platforms. At Mikart, he is tasked with scaling operational performance and expanding the company's commercial footprint in small molecule and oral dosage development.
Outgoing leader Michael Kallelis remains involved with the organization, ensuring a stable handoff for current partners and employees. Scott Neola, Mikart’s Chief Financial Officer, noted that Schellin’s background in implementing KPI-driven operating models and restructuring manufacturing teams aligns with the firm’s current growth trajectory. Founded in 1975, the company continues to focus on its core competencies in potent compounds, liquids, and solid dosage forms.
