PowerBank Corporation Finalizes Calgary Rooftop Solar Project
PowerBank Corporation has officially secured the certificate of final completion for a 1.45 MW DC rooftop solar installation in Calgary, Alberta. Developed under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction agreement for Fiera Real Estate Investments Limited, the project has been operational since late 2025, supplying energy to the provincial grid.

The Calgary project currently operates under Alberta's Small Scale Generation program, marking another milestone for the Toronto-based energy firm. This completion adds to the company's broader portfolio, which now spans 100 MW of finished solar and battery energy storage installations across North America.
PowerBank is scaling its operations as Alberta faces a significant electricity supply gap. According to the Alberta Electric System Operator, data center load requests have surged to over 20,000 MW, far exceeding the province's current peak demand of 12,000 MW. With only 1,200 MW of new load capacity reliably available in the near term, the firm aims to leverage its cross-jurisdictional permitting and construction expertise to help bridge this infrastructure deficit.
