Minute Rice Expands Microwaveable Line with Garlic and Stir-Fry Cups

These single-serve, microwaveable portions aim to replicate takeout-style profiles while maintaining a one-minute preparation time for home or office consumption.

The Garlic Parmesan variety blends white rice with savory cheese and garlic notes, designed as a versatile side dish for proteins like chicken or seafood. Meanwhile, the Veggie Stir-Fry option incorporates a mix of corn, peas, carrots, and bell peppers seasoned with soy sauce, offering a pre-prepped alternative to traditional takeout. According to Erica Larson, Director of Marketing at Riviana Foods, these additions address consumer requests for convenience without compromising on flavor depth.

Beyond the flavor profiles, the product line emphasizes clean labeling, as all cups are certified gluten-free and contain no preservatives. The brand, a subsidiary of the global rice leader Ebro Foods, utilizes BPA-free packaging for its single-serve range. These new varieties are currently rolling out to select national retailers, further diversifying the company’s existing catalog of instant grains and quick-serve options.
