Canton Strategic Holdings Overhauls Board Amid Network Expansion
Following its annual shareholder meeting, Canton Strategic Holdings has appointed three new directors to its board, signaling a strategic pivot toward institutional blockchain integration. Sean Galvin, Pamela L. Carter, and Rishi Nangalia join the firm to provide governance oversight as the company deepens its focus on the Canton Network ecosystem.

The incoming directors replace outgoing board members Sireesh Appajosyula, Vincent LoPriore, and Gary Stetz, who chose not to seek re-election. They join a re-elected slate of board members including Mark Wendland, Clay Kahler, Jill E. Sommers, and William Wiley. Chairman and CEO Mark Wendland noted that the new appointments are intended to bolster the company’s capital markets and technology expertise as it scales its operations.
Sean Galvin, a veteran CPA and former CFO at Virtu Financial, will chair the audit committee, leveraging over 35 years of financial services experience. Pamela L. Carter brings a background in legal and corporate governance, having held executive roles at Cummins Inc. and serving on the boards of companies such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise and CSX Corporation. Rishi Nangalia, co-founder of OPCO Advisory and former head of REDI Technologies, adds a focus on scaling financial technology and electronic trading businesses.
These changes support the company’s broader treasury strategy, which involves acquiring Canton Coin ($CC) and operating as a Super Validator within the Canton Network. By prioritizing institutional adoption of digital assets, the company aims to solidify its position as a key infrastructure player in the digitization of traditional financial markets.
